Ayelet Marinovich is pediatric speech-language pathologist who works with families with infants and toddlers. She is the founder of Strength-in-Words, a podcast and an educational resource providing access to high-quality, evidence-based resources and connections to other parents and professionals so they can have peace of mind they are supporting their children to the best of their ability.
I asked Ayelet to join me on the show because I know many SBP listeners are new parents who are balancing their career with their new responsibilities and desire to be good parents.
In this episode, Ayelet and I talk about common misconceptions new parents have about how their babies learn and play — which can help alleviate guilty feelings about the time you spend with your baby.
Ayelet shares specific activities you can do to maximize the limited time you spend with your infant or toddler. We rant (a little bit 😉) about the impossible standards that are being promoted through social media. And we talk about educational apps, toys, and video games that are so popular as tools for engaging and teaching our babies.
